I don't see Britney's new album, "Circus" up there. It's good & way better than any crap Guns N Roses can offer. I'm just saying.
ReplyDeleteI'll have you know that I debated putting Britney's new one on there. It probably ranks with GNR as a guilty pleasure, but probably not providing lasting enjoyment (unlike by boy Justin Timberlake). Anywho, I thought I put a pretty eclectic list together.
ReplyDeleteTV on the Radio, MGMT, Lil Wayne, Nick Cave, and Dylan are all fantastic. I'm warming up to Magnetic Fields, and the rest I either have not heard or weren't impressed with. I will also second the nod for Britney's album.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I can't seem to rationalized paying full price for the TV on the Radio. I've liked their other stuff so much. Considering Britney's rollercoaster, it's hard to believe that there's still some pop-sensibilities lurking under all that dysfunction. Or... maybe those two things go hand in hand after all.
ReplyDeleteGot an early birthday present from Karen. Distortion, by The Magnetic Fields. Their unique tunefulness is all over it. Can't wait to hear it through my headphones, or sometime when there's no Fisher Price toys making sing-songy sounds.
